The name Tuatara comes from Te Reo Māori (indigenous language of New Zealand) which means 'peaks on the back'. They are the last survivors of an order of reptiles that thrived in the age of the dinosaurs.
Ankylosaurus are well-known dinosaurs for its unique physical features. They had an armoured back to defend themselves from predators, alongside a weaponised tail to scare off threats!
